Album: "Can't Find The Brakes" VÖ: 03.11.23 Megaforce Records Mit ihrer brandneuen Single "Won't Take Me Alive", die bereits in den Top 20 der US-Rockradiosender ist, und nach zwei aufeinanderfolgenden, ausverkauften Headliner-Touren in Großbritannien und Europa im Jahr 2023, wird Dirty Honey, eine der heißesten jungen Rockbands, ihr brandneues Album "Can't Find The Brakes" am 3. November veröffentlichen. Im vergangenen April begab sich Dirty Honey - Marc LaBelle/Gesang, John Notto/Gitarre, Justin Smolian/Bass und der neue Schlagzeuger Jaydon Bean - nach Australien, um das neue Album mit ihrem langjährigen Produzenten Nick DiDia aufzunehmen. Im Gegensatz zum selbstbetitelten, vollständigen Debütalbum von 2019, das aufgrund der Pandemie über ZOOM aufgenommen werden musste, mit der Band in Los Angeles und DiDia in Australien, verbrachte Dirty Honey einen ganzen Monat im Studio mit DiDia. Marc LaBelle, der Sänger, sagte: " Just physically being together in the studio with our producer made for a very creative environment; we got into such a groove, we were very focused, and not rushed, so it was great for all of us. We decided to call the album ‘Can’t Find The Brakes’ because the title was almost a time capsule of our lives right now. We’re constantly on the move and living each day city by city. Sometimes being a touring musician can feel like you’re on a train going full speed, and even if you could find the brakes, would you really want to?“ "Having Jayden in the band has made a huge difference“, sagte Justin." He’s an a cappella singer with a background in vocal harmonies. So having him contribute, especially to the harmonies, has really added to our sound and has helped us grow a lot.“ Marc fügte hinzu: " Jaydon's got a great approach to songwriting, and he’s willing to take the ride with a song without judgment. There’s a great Ed Sheeran quote that I love: 'Dare to suck. You never know what’s going to happen, so just dare to suck.' Or, as Jayden puts it, 'You’ve just got to be open to infinity, man, you’re a vessel for infinity!'" " 'Coming Home,’ 'Don't Put Out the Fire,' ‘You Make it Alright,’ and ‘Rebel Son’ are all standouts", sagte John. " 'Won't Take Me Alive' is the most kick-ass, aggressive, bad-ass rock song we've ever written. All of these songs widen our lane in a real energetic way." Das Albumcover für "Can't Find The Brakes" wurde vom weltberühmten, in Los Angeles ansässigen Graffitikünstler Kelly "RISK" Gravel handgemalt, der seit über 30 Jahren untrennbar mit der Kunstszene von Los Angeles verbunden ist.
